Getting hitched? To opt for it or not…

I being myself had finally come to this conclusion…it’s a prime question indeed a shocking one to me, and to everyone around me, only a few very close people know about it.

I am 28 years old now and it’s not like my biological clock is ticking and I am getting old and weary. It’s just that I have gone through my own share of learning experiences and so called phases by relying on everyone else for my happiness and my peace of mind.

Well that’s life, and this is how one learns and evolves.

It’s not like I don’t have any dreams and aspirations and I have just reconcile myself to compromise and live my whole life like a homemaker.

It sounds too funny, as that’s not in my DNA to become docile and sit at home but voila I have been doing this for 2 years.

I won’t say it’s boring and tedious, it’s fun and creative too and it is a 24/7 job.

Unfortunately little due is given to a homemaker who does her job (majority of them are women) in our culture.

On the contrary some praise should be given to the men of our society who evenhandedly take care of the entire house without expressing their emotions, while dealing with substantial amount of pressure all on their own.

What do we generally look for in a life partner?

-Companionship

-Understanding

-Support

-Love

-Respect

These are all intangible things that we deeply desire but logically the qualities which are essential for marriage should be:

-Financial stability

-Maturity

-Mental stability

-Emotional stability

It’s easy to bullet these points out as this isn’t something new and we are all looking for such attributes in our partner but isn’t it advisable to acquire these qualities in our own self first. You can’t look for such things in others if you yourself don’t have it in you. It’s stupid!

Marriage is a commitment; it’s like a lifelong deal and it surely requires compromises and sacrifices from both ends.

Life is either very simple or too complicated; it’s just the way how we see it.

For a person like me who considers herself a princess! A hopeful romantic, an old soul, who believes in eternal love and still deems that her soul-mate exists somewhere in the realms of this universe, and you never know someone might just appear out of nowhere!(yup! i do think like that too) and it is one of my many desires....

Nevertheless the rule of the nature is that there is no such rule and anything can happen at any point of time.

One can truly create their destiny by firmly believing in what do they genuinely believe in.

So to find someone whom you are looking for you might as well just become that and you will attract what you actually really deserve.

Chasing Love or chasing what you love?

I call myself a nomad; a wanderer, I am mostly living in my imaginary world, the outside events just keep happening around me, and I most often tend to get succumb to those,  I feel such experiences over powers me into becoming this peculiar personality who is lost in her own world; aloof and not surrounded by the crowd. But when I sit with myself and ask what is that I truly desire, the only answer that follows is love! In search of which I’m running around like a maniac. But what kind of love and why love ? The basis of such un heard of mind-set develops since childhood and then it grows with external experiences, however the internal chemistry remains essentially unchanged no matter what happens around you. Life is always going to be unpredictable and challenging, what makes you, YOU! Shouldn’t change, one can evolve and learn but your core remains unaffected. Every time I end up chasing it I question myself why? You don’t need to run after it, it’s within you. It’s ...

Do the Dishes to dis the Discomfort!

As tongue twisting as it sounds, dish washing is genuinely like that job which you hate doing, but have to get succumb to it, because you want to eat those scrumptious meals and pickles and all those greasy stuff, as many times as you want to, but there isn’t any house help available, especially amidst this lock down. To be truthful, I have my whole family living together, and for us eating is like breathing(Exaggeration!),a lmost every hour every other person is found slurping or gulping something from the kitchen. Moreover, we have our beloved pets living with us,so there are separate set of utensils for them as well. Yes, our kitchen is open 24/7 for every creature, with our sink welcoming dishes like, one of those not so spacious but stuffed buses on the road which we see accommodating, countless passengers, as many as they can load, and even then, there is plenty of space left on the top, so they fill that area too, and if that is also occupied then we can see peopl...

Self Discovery: is it important?

Seldom have we found ourselves in the midst of monotony, only if we stop and question our state of mind from time to time! What is it which keeps us going? Is it our goals? Fear of unknown? Or is it our liabilities? In order to survive we do need to pay our bills, however to be able to cater our emotions we must understand the why of our existence. What make us unique from everyone else around us are our individual experiences and our response to those obstacles or opportunities which we face along our journey. Our intellect is the supreme entity but for it to function on an optimal level we must bestow it with a map which will ultimately provide us with various strategies to navigate our lives according to our priorities. From where will we find that map? Through our knowledge, experiences, the people we meet, the kind of principle with which we lead our lives. Life becomes droning, because we have hemmed in ourselves from exploring the plethora of knowledge, dif...
