Day before yesterday I implored my mum to finally remove my 10 year old nose ring.
As a matter
of fact, I got this nose piercing done some ages ago, actually just when I took
my first step into this big wild world.
I was almost
18 years of age, full of ambitions and desires, ready to accomplish my goals.
Haha!
Life does
not plan out exactly like how you want it to be, and you don’t understand this
while experiencing it, it’s later when you connect the dots that’s when you realize
that oh damn! I never imagined that it would turn out to be like this for me.
Sometimes
you let; certain events happen to you and some other time certain events just
out of the blue takes place in your life when you were not anticipating it.
I underwent a catharsis during the process of removal of that pint-sized white gold nose ring
I know it’s
a very stupid statement to make, but I felt it.
A very
significant decade of my life got lifted off my shoulders, it’s surreal.
Obviously it
was quite painful and it was so difficult to remove it, but with some help and
willingness, I finally could able to completely get rid of it.
I believe
it’s as easy as it sound.
If you have accepted yourself and your
condition, and you are willing to ask for help from the right people around you
and you are ready to take some actions to change, it will eventually happen.
Knowing what
you don’t want is as important as having the clarity of what you really want
from life.
It’s
advisable to understand it as early as possible, but do take your time, and
once you have reached to a certain decision then stick by it.
Staying with the choice which you have made
for yourself is really the difficult part than making any decision.
Don’t compare your life to others, but try to remove the factors
which are causing you pain and get renewed almost instantly.
Knowing
those factors is actually the trick, to give you an insight, ask yourself this
more often ‘what makes you happy other than money, food, shelter, clothes,
entertainment and companionship?’ there has to be a purpose, there is that
thing which you are most petrified to achieve because you are over thinking about: ‘what others would think’ but you somewhere know, that unattainable wish of yours will
actually really make you come alive if only you dare to work for it.
Remove those
fears, remove those thoughts, remove those inhibitions by facing them and
ultimately begin your new journey of happiness.
I just
related my first step towards transformation which I plucked up the courage to take, after so much of a melodrama and a long period of stagnancy, with something as
skimpy as getting rid of a decade old nose ring.
What are you
removing from yourself to get renewed?
